Banjarnegara – The 2019 Dieng Culture Festival (DCF) Committee prepares a camping ground or camp plot for visitors who do not get a home-stay or lodging during the annual grand event which takes place on 2-4 August 2019.

DCF 2019 Field Coordinator, Khoerul Anam, said that he plans to provide a camping ground in the south of the Arjuna Temple complex that can accommodate around 1,000 visitors. Visitors can only rent a lot, or lots as well as a tent.

“We anticipate that by using camping ground, we will provide space for 500 to 1,000 people. Camping ground can rent the lot,” He said on Wednesday (3/7).

Even so, he admitted that until now, there has not been a special meeting for the preparation of procurement of tents and preparation of lots. However, as it was done in previous years, the price of renting tents and plots of IDR 300,000 to IDR 350,000 for three days. “We haven’t released the lot.” He said.

In addition to accommodating DCF visitors who don’t get lodging, camping ground is an economical package to save on accommodation expenses. On the grounds lodging requires IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 1.5 million per room for three days. The expenditure for tents is only around IDR 350,000.

“Many friends have some tents. At Prau base camp and other base camps there are many tent rentals,” He said.

Khoerul stated that lodging in Dieng Kulon Village which is the center of DCF activities, is always full every year. In fact, residents’ homes that are not home-stays are transformed into sudden lodging places.

The increase of visitors year to year also causes lodging in neighboring villages became full, such as Dieng Wetan, Hamlet, Banteng to Kepakisan. “Indeed, there are also many people who are interested in tents,” he said.

Although the DCF 2018 visit reached 160,000 people, this year the committee only targeted 100,000 visitors in three days.
